Call for CENTRAL SCHOOL Memorabilia & CHEHALEM CULTURAL CENTER VIDEOS

The Chehalem Cultural Center is excited to announce the upcoming grand opening of the LaJoie Theater! The story of our building is made up of the people who gather here and we want your memories to be a part of it.

VIDEO FOOTAGE: We're putting together a video to celebrate the opening of the Performing Arts Wing at the CCC and we need your help to tell the visual story of where we've been and showcase where we're going.

We're looking for any video footage you may have taken of Chehalem Cultural Center over the years (phone videos are perfect!) while attending our festivals, camps, classes - and even holding your own events, parties, or weddings in our spaces. Youtube links that are already uploaded are wonderful as well! 

You can upload up to 10 files at a time with a maximum upload size of 1 GB for each file. If you there is any trouble uploading files, email Kyle at info@ruggedlyrefined.com and they can help you out.

CALL FOR ITEMS: To celebrate both the Center’s future and past, the CCC is asking the community for help in filling a trophy case dedicated to Central Elementary School. 

These materials will become part of the CCC’s permanent collection, cataloged and displayed with the donor’s name. 

We will gladly accept any submissions relating to Central Elementary school. We are especially interested in items from the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s. 

Requested items include: 

  • Photographs

  • Yearbooks

  • Text books

  • Posters

  • Report cards

  • Scrapbooks

  • Programs

  • Student work

  • Ribbons

  • Directories

  • Handbooks

  • Newsletters

  • Flyers

Items can be dropped off at the front desk or mailed at donor’s expense.

Unless otherwise indicated, all submissions will be deemed property of the CCC and donated to the CCC for cataloging consideration.

In addition to the programming that the Chehalem Cultural Center offers, we provide rental space for many public events that are put on by community organizations and organizers.  If  an event that is happening in our building is not on our website, it is likely that the event is put on by an organization renting our space for their event.  For information regarding these events, please contact the organizers.
