Holiday Workshops: Crafting for the season!
Grades K-5/Child & Adult Holiday Art Workshops all taught by Lillian Carver
$15/ workshop, all materials provided (one registration cover One child & One adult)
Winter Solstice Countdown Calendar / Advent Calendar
Saturday December 6th, 12-1:30pm
Winter solstice traditions include lighting candles and bonfires to symbolize the return of light, decorating with evergreens and holly, feasting with loved ones, and observing nature, such as watching the sunrise or decorating a tree for animals. In this workshop we will make a Solstice Countdown Calendar that will use imagery from these traditions.
Felt Ornaments: Saturday December 13th, 12-1:30pm
In this workshop we will hand sew felt ornaments; which could become a staple in your household, or serve as a heartfelt gift. Using felt, beads, thread, and yarn we will create story-rich hand sewn works of art.
Holiday Paper Chains, Garlands & Star Mobiles
Sunday December 14th, 2-3:30pm
Join us to make some seasonal decorations to brighten up your home for the dark season. We will be using colored paper to make a variety of home decorations like paper chains, star garlands, and other mobiles to hang in your home. After this workshop you will leave with lasting knowledge on how to make your own vintage maximalist decor.
Holiday Cupcake Workshop: Teddy Bears & Presents
Holiday Cupcakes for All Ages

Make the season extra sweet at Cake Hoopla’s Teddy Bears & Presents decorating class! Each participant will decorate four festive cupcakes—two adorable teddy bears and two holiday gift boxes topped with colorful fondant bows and holiday sprinkles.
It’s the perfect holiday activity for kids and families to get creative and take home a box of cute, cozy cupcakes to share (or keep for Santa).
Each registration includes:
• Admission for one participant
• Four cupcakes in Cake Hoopla’s signature Fetti flavor (vanilla cake baked with rainbow sprinkles), with vegan chocolate and gluten-friendly options available
• Vanilla buttercream frosting and fondant in holiday colors
• Fun, festive sprinkles
• Step-by-step instruction and use of professional tools
Ceramics Resident Workshop: Making & Using of Terra Sigillata: Ceramic Surface Possibilities
Sundays November 16th & 23rd, 9am-1pm
Join us for a two week workshop led by our November Ceramics Resident Fiona Shaughnessy
Participants are invited to learn about terra sigillata, a surface treatment originally used by ancient Greeks and Romans in lieu of glaze that creates a luminous, skin-like finish. Fiona Shaughnessy will guide participants through the process in two sessions to demonstrate the diverse applications of this technique, and to allow the terra sigillata to mature over the course of the intervening week. All Workshop Materials will be provided.
Workshop cost: $230/two week workshop (all materials provided)
Monday Mindfulness- Ongoing Drop In Series
October 20th- December 15th
Start your week with a guided meditation session that will leave you centered, grounded, and ready to approach life with intention! Each week students will experience a 30-45-minute mindfulness session. Certified mindfulness instructor Annie Shull will guide students through a grounding seated meditation, gentle yoga-based movement, and explore cultivation and body scan practices.

To ensure the series can run, we ask students to enroll for 4 sessions as a minimum.
Christmas Card Block Printing Workshop
Tuesday December 16th, 9:30am-12:30pm

This coming December, Christine Joy is looking forward to teaching a new 3 hour class, in block printing! This is a lovely medium with room for great stylistic experimentation. This class is for both the beginner and the advanced. We will be creating simple designs that can be printed onto Christmas greeting cards.
