Open studio is for currently enrolled students and those who have taken classes within the last 2 years. Reach out to the Ceramic Studio Manager, Pilar Swanson, if you have any questions at ceramics@chehalemculturalcenter.org Studio users Ages 11-15 may use open studio with the supervision and guidance of a guardian - contact our Studio Manager to discuss further.

Where do I purchase clay and supplies?
You can purchase clay and tool kits at the front desk during our standard open hours: Tuesday through Saturday 9am-6pm. Clay prices have been adjusted as below as of May 24, 2024:

When can I expect to pick up my work?
Our studio works hard to get your pieces back to you in a timely manner! Generally this timeline is approximately 10 days from when you place your work on the “To Be Fired” shelf. Please note that the classwork of currently enrolled students takes priority. If your piece is not ready by the 10 day mark or you have specific questions, please reach out to Ceramic Studio Manager Pilar Swanson at ceramics@chehalemculturalcenter.org
OPEN STUDIO HOURS
Open studio hours are subject to change due to programming. Find the most up-to-date information via our sign-up form here. The cost for using the ceramic studio is $10/hour and is included in class pricing for those currently enrolled in adult ceramics classes. Hours below valid November 6th-December 21st. There will be extra hours on November 26th and 27th 9am-3pm.
Please note the CCC and Ceramics Studio will be closed on November 28th & 29th- No Hours. The entire CCC will be closed for the Holidays from December 22nd-January 1st- No access to the studio at that time.
STUDIO HOURS - November-December 2024
Tuesday: No hours due to class schedule
Wednesday: 1pm-3pm
Thursday: 9am to 3pm
Friday: 9am to 3pm
Saturday: 9am to 4pm
Hours typically end 1 hour prior to the start of the class to give our instructors time to set up and prepare. * Please do not enter the studio until your hour starts.
Please note we do not allow adult studio users to enter during our Youth & Teen Ceramic Classes. The studio is closed at those times for the safety of our students.
