2025 Northwest Lavender Paint Out

Open and Professional Divisions

Applications Open Through May 31 (or when we hit 200 registrants)

Paint in the participating lavender fields of Oregon and Washington June 9 through July 9, 2025. Each artist can choose when and where to paint during each participating farms' “open-for-artists” hours. Many farms are near world class wineries, are scattered through-out the state and some even have mountains as a backdrop to the lovely purple fields. This is a great venue for first-time “en plein air” painters, so don’t be shy, join us for a great painting adventure.

Wild Skies & Western Lands

Application Deadline: June 1, 2025

The Chehalem Cultural Center is excited to host the exhibition, Wild Skies & Western Lands, and we invite you to apply! Works submitted for this exhibition should explore rural landscapes, countryside experiences, farming, and interactions with livestock and farm animals. This juried exhibition will select artworks to be exhibited for a two-month period.

Ceramic Studio Residency

Our goal is to support emerging and established ceramic artists who are interested in building community engagement alongside furthering their own clay practice. This Artist Residency is supported by the Oregon Cultural Trust and the Yamhill County Cultural Coalition.

Show Your Work In Our Galleries!

The Chehalem Cultural Center exhibits a wide array of artwork throughout the various galleries in the building. The goal of the center is to feature local, regional, national and international artists that create work in all variety of mediums. Our galleries provide opportunities for critical dialogue, and connecting our community with a wide variety of mediums, processes, concepts and themes. Exhibitions typically rotate every two-months.
