Art Club: Art & Culture (Grades K-5)

Venture on an artistic journey starting right here at home to around the world through art and imagination. Create projects inspired by stories and elements of culture like art, dance, music, traditions, and even food, while expressing your own ideas and interests.

Mixed Media Collage for Teens (Ages 11-17)
Tuesdays, 4pm-5:30pm | Jan 21st- Feb 25th
We will use a variety of materials including paper, magazine clippings, fabric, paint, markers, etc to paste together into different cohesive art pieces and projects. At the same time, we will view some different historic and current artists who work in collage to inspire our projects.

Painting Techniques for Teens (Ages 11-17)

In this class, we’ll cover basic painting techniques including color theory, capturing light and shadow, and imitating different famous artists from art history.

Art Club: Watercolor Techniques for Kids (Grades K-5)
Wednesdays, 4pm - 5:30pm | Jan 22nd- Feb 26th
Explore a variety of watercolor techniques including washes, wet-on-wet, and brush strokes. Dive deeper into watercolors by creating collages, weaving, bookmaking and more.

Teens: Finding My Artistic Voice with Fiber & Mulitmedia (Ages 11-17)
Thursdays, 4pm - 5:30pm | Jan 23rd-Feb 27th
Students will learn how the elements of art transfer to fabric, thread and various other objects. Students will explore and create with various materials and techniques, making a piece of fiber art of their own. You will have the option to work both on sewing machines and hand sewing!
