The Chehalem Cultural Center is looking for artwork for our lobby, which is connected to our newly renovated mezzanine. The wall we’d like artwork for stretches from our first floor to our second; we are looking for art that engages the space, drawing the eye up. This would be a permanent installation. We encourage artists to consider how the artwork interacts with the architecture and aesthetics of the Chehalem Cultural Center. While artwork doesn’t need to be overtly themed, we are drawn to art that is in line with our mission and values at the CCC.

We are open to proposals of murals, fiber art, mixed media, paintings, site specific installations, ect. 

Total budget: $5,000

Dimensions of space: 10 ft wide, 22 ft tall

Note: Please note in your design that we often place chairs / benches by this wall, so the bottom of the installation could be obstructed at times.

Please email galleries@chehalemculturalcenter.org the following information:

-The subject of the email should read  “CCC Lobby Installation Application”

-Please submit either photos of the existing work for the space or a mockup of a site-specific design. Each artist can submit up to three designs for review

-Include either a link to your website or a google drive file with 5+ samples of past work. 

-Include an artist resume

-Please write a description for each design, noting how it would be made, the installation process, a proposed timeline, budget, and the meaning behind the work.
