Nathanael Ankeny & Friends

With sophistication and class, Nathanael Ankeny and Friends performs grooving swing tunes, rich jazz ballads, and some fun contemporary covers like you’ve never heard them before.

Nathanael Ankeny is an Associate Professor of Music at George Fox University in Newberg, OR, where he teaches applied saxophone, music theory and aural skills, and serves as the director of the University’s Jazz Ensemble. As an active performer, he can be heard leading jazz groups in the greater Portland area. In the community at large, Ankeny facilitates a thriving small-ensemble jazz program for youth, teaches private saxophone and clarinet lessons, and serves as a clinician for contests and festivals. He resides in Newberg, OR with his wife and three children.

Corral Creek Bluegrass Band

Saturday, July 13 | 3pm - 4:30pm

Corral Creek has been performing around the Northwest for 21 plus years. The homespun humor and verbal dialog sprinkles each performance and draws their audience in. Don’t be surprised if you see the band invite kids to the stage for a Bluegrass experience. The years have been kind to Corral Creek, who’s family show is often in demand around Oregon wine country. They do slip across the border into Washington and even North to Alaska for a short tour or Bluegrass Festival.  Corral Creek offers a set list which includes Bluegrass standards, Oregon tunes, original tunes about life experience, comedy tunes, and a few stories. Ron, Pam, Ed, Carl and Paul have come together from various backgrounds and experiences to share their music for the last 20 years.

Ellie and the Oaks

Ellie Hartman is an exuberant PNW singer/songwriter whose style is a blend of Indie, Pop, and Folk. Some of her recent performances include the Singer Songwriter Night at the magnificent Walter's Cultural Arts Center and on the stage of the Willamette Valley Lavender Festival, as well as many other festivals, wineries, and places of joyful gathering. This year, she's also had the pleasure of collaborating with her band The Oaks, which includes flute, piano, bass, and drums. 

 Whether performing with a band or solo, Ellie's goal is always to give the people around her a boost of energy through upbeat tunes and thoughtful lyrics. As someone who always prioritizes kindness, she wants everyone to feel welcome and at home during her performances. 

Roundhouse Band

Sunday, July 14 | 3pm - 4:30pm

Roundhouse performs music from a variety of genres using bluegrass instrumentation; bass, guitar, mandolin, and banjo. Duet, trio and quartet harmonies are integral to the Roundhouse sound; working out interesting and unique arrangements are of special interest to the band members. Bluegrass, folk, southern and classic rock, a capella, gospel, country, blazing instrumentals and original compositions all appear in the band's repertoire!
