Featured Artwork: A Home in Me by Courtney Maulding

This exhibition is dedicated to showcasing the work of Chehalem Cultural Center’s 2024 ceramic studio users and students. Open to all students actively participating in the center’s ceramics program, each individual was invited to submit up to three ceramic artworks for review and selection. In addition, the exhibition proudly features the work of the center’s 2024 ceramic residents: Courtney Maulding, Emily Jung Miller, and Mya Cluff. Throughout their residency, each artist created unique pieces that reflect their individual practices and creative explorations.

Over the course of their one-month residencies, these artists were provided with studio space, materials, a stipend, and the opportunity to engage with the public through a hosted workshop. This residency program aims to nurture artistic development while fostering a sense of community and dialogue among both artists and audiences.

We invite you to join us in celebrating the achievements of these resident artists, alongside the daily studio artists who contribute to the vibrant energy of the Chehalem Cultural Center’s ceramics community. This exhibition not only highlights their accomplishments but also underscores the ongoing creative endeavors fostered within our studio spaces.
