Baskets were, and continue to be, important to the indigenous people of the Pacific Northwest. Not only do baskets provide a way to store and carry items, they encourage the crafter to get to know the plants, animals, and land around them.

In addition to the programming that the Chehalem Cultural Center offers, we provide rental space for many public events that are put on by community organizations and organizers. If an event that is happening in our building is not on our website, it is likely that the event is put on by an organization renting our space for their event.
